Getting paid: We celebrate what we like to call Fun(d)ay Monday! Nope, that's not a typo. We send funds (e.g. checks) to charities for gift card redemptions received seven days prior to each Monday on... wait for it... Fun(d)ay Mondays!
In other words, we pay charities weekly. The paper check amount will be determined in the following manner: Face value of the original gift card less 3.75% to cover merchant processing and administrative costs. For example, if Charity A has one $10 gift card redeemed, then they will receive a check for $9.62 (i.e., $10.00 - .38 = $9.62). However, if the original purchaser of the gift card being redeemed opted to cover the charity's admin fee, then your nonprofit receives 100% of the card value!
Please note: Sometimes our gift cards are sold on third-party platforms and they may charge a higher fee to sell/distribute them. If a card redeemed for your charity was sold on a 3rd party site and the fee was higher than 3.75%, we will deduct that from the face value of the donation and indicate that on the stub of your check.
